Trying
Multi-camera Live-streamNOV 6 – 22
By Joanna McClelland Glass • Directed by Doug Baird
The year is 1967, and Judge Francis Biddle is a cantankerous patrician in need of an assistant. An eminent former Attorney General and Chief Judge of the American Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, Biddle is trying to complete his memoirs, but has had numerous female aides quit. Enter Sarah Schorr, a feisty young Canadian writer who fearlessly matches him wit for wit.
Based on Glass’ own real-life experience working for Judge Biddle during the final year of his life, Trying is a touching portrait of generational reconciliation, told with grace and humor, that will take audiences on a journey of reflection on what constitutes a life well-lived.
Featuring Rich Holman as Judge Biddle and Melissa Momboisse as Sarah Schorr.
Due to the pandemic, Tabard Theatre is closed to patrons, and currently operating as a broadcast studio only.
* 2:30-2:45pm FREE presentation for visually impaired patrons.
